Abstract
In this paper, the authors propose a novel multipath routing protocol, which makes use of neighbor knowledge and uses adaptive HELLO messaging scheme in combination with node disjoint multipath routing. The proposed scheme chooses the parameters such that they all complement each other and enhances the overall routing performance of the network. The neighbor knowledge assigns order of forwarding of control packets and adaptive HELLO messaging scheme dynamically changes the HELLO interval. Combining them with a node disjoint multipath routing scheme based on energy of the nodes, results in a routing protocol which is diverse and universal in its network applications.
