Abstract
In today's advance technology, security problems become more important. Security measurement and monitoring helps system developers to design and assure secure systems. Today security metrics are used in a variety of fields as software development process. Security metrics for software products provide quantitative measurement for the degree of trustworthiness for software systems. Good metrics should be specific, measurable, repeatable and time defendant. Besides security plan to endure attack, software needs to be clearly blueprinted according to secure design principles. The method of this paper is to discuss the software security metric accompanying with design principles and ascertain metrics characteristics.
Keywords- software security, software security metrics, design principles
