Abstract
The accuracy of flood routing is an important subject for research in hydrology andhydraulics. Accurate information of the flood peak attenuation and the duration of thehigh water levels obtained by channel routing are of most importance in floodforecasting operations and flood protection works. This studyimplements Muskingum method to estimate the inflow and outflow discharge at the river bank. The parameters of Muskingum method are determined using three methods i.e. graphical method, least square method and regression analysis approach. The assessment of results are compared from the above three methods.
Keywords- Flood routing, hydrological method, Muskingum method, least square method, graphical method, regression analysis.
