Abstract
This paper deals with flexural vibrations of thermoporoelastic plates in the presence of initial stress with two relaxation times are investigated in the framework of Biot’s theory. Pertinent constitutive relations and equations of motion are derived. Frequency equation is obtained in the presence of dissipation. In particular case, frequency equation is obtained in the absence of dissipation. Frequency and attenuation is computed as a function of wavenumber and initial stress. Numerical results are presented graphically.
Keywords- Thermoporoelasticity, Flexural Vibrations, Initial Stress, Frequency, Attenuation, Wavenumber.
