great amount of research in the field of radiation hazard conducted since 1942 has been directed towards understanding the mechanism of radiation injury as well as the ecological relationship that exists in an environment contaminated with radioactive material. Study of Radon / Thoron and its daughter products in the environment has always been an important aspect of such studies. Extensive studies have been carried out by various researchers on the concentration of Radon / Thoron and their daughter products in different types of buildings, floorings, walls and ventilations. In the present paper, an attempt has been made to measure the indoor concentration of Radon and Thoron and their products using solid state nuclear track detector (SSNTD) techniques carried out in few dwellings of K.G.F mining area.
