Abstract
The optimization problems that are encountered are solved by implementing some metaheuristic techniques. In this paper, two of the meta-heuristic techniques are undertaken for checking the optimality of the set of solutions. One of the techniques is cuckoo search i.e. able to generate the set of test cases and optimizes them. Another algorithm is firefly algorithm is used here for checking the optimality of set of test cases that are generated from the cuckoo search. The paper reviews the concepts of test case generation and optimization and produces the results of maximum code coverage in the execution of optimal set of solutions
