Abstract
Recent advances in the technology make it possible to develop a security system low cost, convenient and fast processing. It is important for all to be able to safeguard their property from destruction and thefts.
Raspberry Pi is small computer, it can support on board camera module that makes it obvious choice for the cost effective security application. It has software motion which triggers Pi’s camera to detect motion and save the image. The motion detection system is implemented for real time applications; frame difference method is used for detecting motion. When it detects the motion will trigger the camera to begin capturing images and indicating alarm. The algorithm is simulated using Python Script.
