Abstract
Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a self-configuring network of mobile nodes that is formed automatically in different topologies via wireless links without the help of a fixed infrastructure or centralized server. Furthermore in MANETs, the security of nodes is the responsibility of the nodes themselves. In this paper a novel approach is proposed for trust management in MANETs that is based on building the trust level by the nodes. Our main objective in this paper is to develop a robust trust mechanism and an efficient and reliable node detection technique.
