Abstract

In modern sts nutrition plays an important to elevate the performance level of an athlete in the target competition. The performance of an athlete depends upon the scientific periodisation and execution of proper training. The energy expenditure during various phases of training must be supplied by the scientific nutritional periodisation in order to meet the physiological demands. So far as sports performance is concern nutritional and training periodisation can be considered as a two side of a coin. In the present study attempts has been made to systematically review various articles and research papers in order to frame a guideline for the nutritional status of an athlete during different phases of training cycles.
