Abstract
Animal Husbandry is one of the key sectors which is very important from the point of view of income and employment in the rural areas. Animal Husbandry sector plays a very important role in the economy of the state. One third of the rural economy is dependent on this sector. Animal Husbandry gives an opportunity for poverty eradication, development of rural economy & alleviation of unemployment. Moreover availability of protein for human need, sufficient and incessant economic gain for rural people and employment for unemployed youths depend upon the multifaceted programmes of Animal Husbandry.
