Push Out Tests of Cold Formed Steel and Concrete Slab

Abstract
This work presents the push out tests which were carried out to examine shear transfer between the concrete slab and the cold formed beam section (CFS). Four push out tests were carried out under axial loading. The parametric studies were performed to investigate variations in shear dowel shape, taken into account the effect bent up half flange channels such as a new shear dowel. The results showed that the bent up half flange channel gave increasing of ultimate load and improving shear transfer between the concrete slab and steel section.
